Welcome to our Pobitzer restaurant

The art of good food

The Garberhof team believes in the power of visual appeal when it comes to dining. That's why they meticulously prepare everything in-house or opt for locally sourced ingredients. Picture the breakfast buffet adorned with vibrant red apples, enticing bread, and an array of irresistible desserts. At dinnertime, the executive chef expertly crafts dishes that blend Alpine and Mediterranean flavours, perfectly complemented by a selection from our cellar boasting over three hundred and fifty bottles of wine.

New 2026
New Culinary Spaces

Only the best for our guests: This is the standard we are committed to every single day. Our goal is to create memorable moments and make your gourmet experience truly unique. For months, Klaus worked closely with our long-standing “house & home” architect, Thomas Rampp, planning, refining, and perfecting every detail. The result is a collection of new dining spaces, furnished with natural materials such as Ceppo di Gré stone, local woods like birch and walnut, and renowned design elements — including lighting by Occhio and seating by Innova. In addition, the entire buffet area has been redesigned, and our kitchen team is now creating culinary delights for you in a brand-new, innovative kitchen.

Our hotel in Val Venosta with half board
To savour the varied local specialities

A holiday in South Tyrol not only includes a sumptuous breakfast and an excellent dinner, but also tasting a typical Kaiserschmarrn dessert or a slice of speck in a refuge at over 2000 m. Whether you are out on a hike or in our hotel in Val Venosta, with half board, you can enjoy all the goodness of the local specialities. You can even choose to order something from the bistrot menu at lunch, for a supplement.

Meet our chef
The kitchen is his amusement park

Christian Lechthaler has been leading the team since 1999 and has a passion for transforming quality products into gourmet dishes. In addition to the regionality and internationality of his creations, he also experiments, as he himself states: “At Garberhof, we place no limits on gastronomic imagination; in fact, here you can try something new every day”. What is never missing in his pantry are flour and eggs to make pasta from scratch.

Passion for wine culture
Refined companions

At Garberhof, there’s a small treasure room. However, instead of chests brimming with rare coins, we safeguard over 350 renowned wines from around the world. In 2020, the host Klaus Pobitzer, in partnership with Hilde Van den dries from the Calvenschlössl estate, planted a vineyard just behind the hotel. Four years later, we are proud to offer our guests the first in-house wine Senza Peso (meaning "Lightness" in English), a wine made from our own grapes. Here, you can explore all the labels available in our collection.
